There’s no place I’d rather be than with a furry friend!
My beloved black kitty Lippy Lu Lu featured in the post and photo below crossed over on Veteran’s Day. She had cancer and had been a three-wheeler since June 1st. She was the most amazing kitty and she has continued to bless me from beyond the veil. I ran into three solid black kitties up for adoption at one pet store and another black kitty also up for adoption at a different pet store last Saturday. She also directed me to the 2013 Black Cat Calendar at each store. I miss her dearly but know she’s living it up now both here and there. I often hear her kitty giggles. Rest In Peace sweet Lippy (October 2001 to 11-11-2012).

There are a lot of myths out there about black cats and a lot of people are afraid of them. Many in shelters have a hard time finding homes. I have the most loving black cat named Lippy. I got her at the San Antonio Animal Shelter when she was a wee little kitten at the beginning of December 2001. She is the most loving, cuddly, vocal, and interactive cat I have ever had and believe me I’ve had A LOT of cats in my lifetime. I’ve heard many other black cats described the same way. She’s actually more like a dog!
Please take special care this Halloween and keep your pets inside so that they too can have a Happy Halloween.
